ISSEY MIYAKE WRAP-AROUND SILK SKIRT

Issey Miyake amazing early collection wrap-around skirt in silk, from 1973, the date is on the composition label attached to the inside of the waistband. The outside silk is a light ruby red colour with a dark tan lining throughout. Made in Italy (26/11/1973). This stunningly shaped skirt has 2 attached fabric belts and inside tag loops to tie the skirt at the waist. Wonderful pleating detail below the waistband, including a beautiful looped pleat design. The left side is longer and the right front panel, elegantly curved. This is a wonderful piece and an opportunity to own a very early Issey Miyaki garment. Original purchased in Japan after the catwalk show in 1973 or early 1974 by Corniche and kept in safe storage since this time. Sized a 40 it is a extra small to small
